Setup

Set up Jira in PurpletGo

  1. 1

Open Integrations, find IT Tickets, click Connect, and choose Jira.

  2. 2

Enter your Jira URL, email, API token, and project key, and confirm your password.

  3. 3

Copy the two-way sync webhook URL PurpletGo shows into a Jira webhook.

Good to know

  • PurpletGo does not close tickets in your helpdesk; your team resolves them there as usual.
  • One ticketing system is used per organisation.
  • Jira Server and Data Center are not supported.
  • Removing a departing user from Jira Cloud (the Jira Cloud connector under Access Revocation Apps) is in beta. It removes the user from all Jira groups, or from Jira if a group cannot be changed, and needs a service account API token with site admin rights and your Cloud ID.

Why this matters

When access revocation lives as a ticket in the same Jira queue IT already works from, it gets done and tracked instead of forgotten in a separate tool.
